Promoting organic farming

The scarf is spun, woven and dyed in Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India. There we work together with our partner KOSH, a young company that produces sustainably and works 100% fair and transparent. KOSH helps cotton farmers switch to organic farming and works with local weaving communities for their fabrics.

Official KHADI cotton

The cotton that KOSH works with is GOTS certified. In addition, the substances are officially designated by the government as KHADI. This means that the fabrics are hand-spun and hand-woven.

Natural dyes

KOSH collaborates with the university in Lucknow (the capital of Uttar Pradesh) to develop sustainable dyeing techniques.The cotton is dyed at a low temperature with extracts from local plants and tree bark.
